RAJASTHAN TOUR - 12 NIGHTS / 13 DAYS

(DELHI, AGRA, JAIPUR, RANATHAMBORE, KOTA, CHITTAURGARH, DUNGARPUR, UDAIPUR, MUMBAI)

Day 01:          Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by flight. On arrival you will be welcomed by our local representative and will be transferred to your hotel.

Delhi - The capital of the vast, mystic subcontinent “ India”. A fine blend of old –n-new, ancient and modern Era. History of Delhi goes back to the days of Mahabharata, when it was known as the Indraprastha. It is surprising, indeed, that since that era this city has remained the capital of the country. 

Magnificent forts and edifices of the Mughal and the pre-Mughal era and the huge architectures of the Raj era have become the pride of Delhi.  The cosmopolitan nature of the city has only added to the beauty and glory of it. Big gardens, wide roads, ancient structures, and power of politics is what Delhi is all about.

Day 02 :        Delhi
Morning proceed for guided city sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Red Fort - The magnificent fort in red sand stone was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1648 . Jama  Mosque,- the second largest Mosque in the world. You will also experience the a rickshaw ride through busy and historical Chandni Chowk-  this famous & oldest market of Old Delhi.

We make our way towards New Delhi and drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidents Palace and one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys) visit The India Gate: a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers, Laxmi Narayan Temple ( Birla Temple) - Built in 1938 by the prominent Indian Industrialist R. B. Birla . Humayun’s Tomb- Another magnificent Mughal building, the tomb of the emperor Humayun . Qutub Minar  - The imposing victory tower built in 12th century.

You will also get an opportunity to visit RAJ GHAT – where our Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

Day 03:         Delhi- Agra (204 kms/4.5hrs)
Morning drive for Agra and on arrival check-in at your hotel.

Afternoon guided city tour of Agra.

Taj Mahal– A Monument of Love  - The Taj Mahal stands serene and perfect in its garden of cypresses and reflecting pools on the banks of the River Yamuna.. The Taj in all its timeless beauty was built by Shahjehan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to complete — a symbol of eternal love .

Agra Fort - Where history takes a new birth.: Few forts in the world have a more fascinating story to tell than the Great Fort of Agra. 

Sikandra - A fusion of art and spiritualism - The mausoleum of Emperor Akbar Completed in 1613 A.D., it is one of the most well-preserved monuments

Day 04 :        Agra – Jaipur(250 kms/5 hrs)
Morning drive for Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri- a phantom city. A red sand stone city of yesteryears. But the inner citadel is immaculately preserved. Its walls, palaces, baths, royal mint, courts and gardens still stand in splendid homage to a great visionary and builder. The heart of the palace complex however, is very much alive

On arrival in Jaipur,check-in at your hotel. Evening enjoy dinner at Chokhi Dhani (an ethnic village resort) where you will have an idea of the village life of Rajasthan here you will also enjoy various traditional Rajasthani dances, puppet show and various other interesting activities. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 05 :        Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort - The Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1952 and completed by Sawai Jai Singh I, is the classic and romantic fort- palace with a magnificent aura, which gives a majestic view of the city down below. You can have the Royal experience of ascending the fort of on elephant, not to be missed .

Afternoon will be followed by guided city tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace , Jantar Mantar at Jaipur is the largest stone observatory in the World . Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds is a major landmark and a famous tourist attraction of Jaipur. The Palace of Winds was constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen.

Day 06:         Jaipur-Ranthambore (150 kms/3 hrs)
Morning drive  to Ranthambhore- famous for the wildlife sanctuary, and on arrival check-in at your hotel.

Ranthambore National ParkRanthambore National Park is part of the much larger Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, and lies in the Sawai Madhopur district of Eastern Rajasthan,  is one of India's most popular national parks because the chance of seeing a tiger in the wild, is greater here. Ranthambore is an important conservation area for Indian Wildlife. It is said to have the India’s friendliest Tigers and also considered to be the best place in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural habitat.

Evening enjoy jeep safari. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 07:         Ranthambore-Kota (125 kms/2.5 hrs)
Early morning again Jungle safari in National Park. Later drive to Kota visiting BUNDI  and on arrival check-in at your hotel.

Bundi is quite closer to Kota with a rich historical wealth. Bundi is surrounded by the Aravalli hills on the three sides and is circumscribed by a massive wall with four gateways, has impressive medieval forts, palaces, havelis, along with a picturesque lake in the heart of the town, add to its charm.

Day 08 :        Kota-Chittaurgarh (158 kms/3 hrs) Victory Tower, Chittaurgarh
Morning city tour of Kota.

The city of Kota (previously spelt as Kotah) is situated at the center of the southeastern region of Rajasthan, a very region widely known as Hadaoli the land of the Hadas. n 1817. 

Places of interests are City Palace and Fort.
 
Afternoon drive for Chittaurgarh and on arrival check-in at your hotel.

Chittaurgarh - The Epitome of Romance and Valour

Day 09 :        Chittaurgarh-Dungarpur (230 kms/5 hrs)
Morning guided city tour of Chittaurgarh visiting The Fort, Chittorgarh, Vijay Stambh(Victory Tower) -The imposing 37 metres high structure , Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame)-The 22 metres high tower ,  Padmini's Palace-Built beside a pool, the palace is a magnificent one.

Afternoon drive for Dungarpur and on arrival check-in at your hotel.

Dungarpur is a picturesque town and a popular hub of tourists. The town is inhabited by the Bheel tribe. One can get an insight into the life of the local people of Dungarpur while visiting. The Old Fort of Dungarpur is the major landmark of Rajasthan. The fort renders the spectacular view of the town of Dungarpur.

Day 10:          Dungarpur
Morning city tour of Dungarpur visiting Udai Bilas Palace , Juna Mahal- The royal Houses 600 old rare paintings,Gaib Sagar Lake- The huge lake is so beautiful & it has a temple of Bijayrajeshwar.
 
Rest of the day is free to explore the place. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 11 :          Dungarpur-Udaipur (105 kms/2 hrs)
Morning drive for Udaipur enroute visiting Molela village for its fine terracotta craft before finally checking in.

UdaipurUdaipur :- Located in the lap of Aravalli hills and around the shimmering clear azure water lakes, the Jewel of Mewar, Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes.It is popular for its fantastic forts, palatial palaces, lovely lakes, terrific temples, and beautiful mountains.is It is well known for its beautiful lakes and the unique serene location, you'll never find such exotic place anywhere else.

Afternoon guided city tour of Udaipur.

City Palace - A majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake on a hill surrounded by crenallated walls, it is a conglomeration of courtards, pavilions, terraces corridors rooms and hanging gardens.

Saheliyon ki badi - r Garden of the Maids of Honour, is in the north of the city, is well maintained, with fountains and kiosks, a delightful lotus pool and marble elephants.

Fateh Sagar It is an artificial lake.

Day 12:          Udaipur – Ranakpur – Udaipur. (90 kms one way/2 hrs)
Morning same day excursion to Ranakpur- The beautifully sculptured Jain temples lie in a tranquil valley of the Aravallis. The main ‘Chaumukha Temple’ is dedicated to the tirthankara Adinath and has 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, all distinctly carved.  Two jain temples dedicated to Neminath and Parsvanath and a Sun Temple a little distance away ,are also noteworthy.

Afternoon is free. Evening boat tride at Lake Pichola. Overnight at your hotel.

MumbaiDay 13 :         Udaipur – Mumbai, air
Morning departure transfer to the airport in time to board the flight for Mumbai and on arrival straight proceed for guided city sightseeing tour of Mumbai .

Flora fountain or stream. It was built in honour of Governor of Mumbai Sir Bartle Frere (1862-67) in 1869.

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Market (Formerly known as Crawford Market - in the name of 'Arthur Crawford') was named for a social reformer of India called 'Mahatma Jyotiba Phule' is located near the Head quarters of Police in Mumbai and was very famous as a wholesale market for Fruits and vegetables. Still you will get stuff cheaper that other markets and varieties of things. There are also pet shops and plastic crockery shops

Dhobhi Ghat - Located next to Mahalaxmi Station in saat rasta location, this famous and Biggest Laundry service of mumbai can be easily seen from flyover bridge of Mahalaxmi station. The unique about them is it's one of the unique open air laundry of bombay.

Also visit Gateway of India  the landmark of Mumbai city. The monument is situated on the waterfront in the southern part of the city. The gateway is an arch with a height of 26 meters and is made up of yellow basalt and reinforced concrete.

Also visit Prince of wales Museum . Rest of the time is for shopping.

Later in the evening departure transfer to the International airport in time to board the flight for home-town.
