Golden Temple AmritsarHIMACHAL PRADESH TOUR PROGRAM

Day 01:          Delhi - Amritsar( By Trains / Air)
Departure transfer to railway station / airport to board train / fight for Amritsar. On arrival transfer to the hotel.

Amritsar is the main Sikh center and the main city in the state of Punjab. Ram Das, the fourth Sikh guru, founded Amritsar in 1577. Amritsar, or Pool of Nectar, (amrit–nectar, sar–pool) was named for the sacred pool by the Golden Temple.

Afternoon visit the Golden Temple (The famous Sikh pilgrim place) and other interesting places of interests . Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:         Amritsar - Dharamshala  (195 kms / approx 06 hrs )
Morning drive for Dharamshala enroute visiting countryside and on arrival check-in at your hotel.  

Prayer wheelsThe high snow clad Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas form a magnificent backdrop to the hill resort of Dharamshala. This is the principal township of Kangra and overlooks the wide spread of the plains. With dense pine and deodar forests, numerous streams, cool healthy air, attractive surroundings and the nearby snowline, Dharamshala has everything for a perfect holiday. It is full of life and yet peaceful. And not surprisingly, the headquarters of His Holiness the Dalai Lama is here.

Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 03:         Dharamshala
Morning half day tour of Dharamshala visiting The Tibetan Medical Center, Church of St. John, meditation courses & local monasteries. Rest of the day is free. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04:         Dharamshala – Manali (approx 09 hrs)Buddhist Temple, Dharamshala
Morning drive for Manali enroute enjoying the scenic beauty and on arrival check-in at your hotel. In the evening on arrival in Manali transfer to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.

Manali 40 kms. away from Kulu to the north, Manali is situated near the end of the valley on the National Highway leading to Leh. The landscape here is breath taking. One sees well-defined snow capped peaks, the Beas river with its clear water meanders through the town. On the other side are deodar and pine trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards. It is known as the SWITZERLAND OF INDIA.

Day 05:         Manali
Morning half day city tour visiting Hadimba Temple, old Manali village and a Tibetan monastery. Afternoon to explore the natural beauty on your own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06:         Manali - Rohtang Pass - Manali
Morning visit Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley .

Rohtang pass is 51kms. from Manali on highway to Keylong/Leh. It offers a panorama and spectacular mountain view. The pass is open from June to October each year although trekkers can cross it earlier.

Solang Valley - 13 kms. is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. It
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Also visit Kothi Gorge, Gulaba, Marhi. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 07:         Manali - Kullu – Shimla (approx 08 hrs)
Morning drive for Shimla, which was once the Summer Capital of India during the British Raj enroute visiting the famous Kullu Shawl Industry. On arrival in Shimla transfer to hotel.

Shimla (also spelt as 'Simla') derives its name from goddess 'Shayamla Devi', which is another manifestation of Goddess Kali. Shimla is one of the few places in the world where an enormous amount of history and heritage has been distilled into such a small place in so short a time. Shimla has been blessed with all the natural bounties, one can think of. Dwelling on a panoramic location, the hilly town is surrounded by green pastures and snow-capped peaks. The spectacular cool hills accompanied by the structures made during the colonial era create an aura, which is very different from other hill stations

Day 08:         Shimla
Morning to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. Afternoon half day city tour visiting Morning sightseeing tour of Kufri, Jakku Temple  and other places of interests.

Also visit Sankat Mochan, The Mall, The Ridge, City Church etc. Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town - The Mall & The Ridge. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09:         Shimla - Chail - Kufri - Nalderha - Shimla
Today full day excursion visiting Chail, Kufri and Naldehra. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10:          Shimla - Chandigarh (approx 04 hrs)
Morning leave for Chandigarh enroute visiting countryside and on arrival check-in into your hotel.  Afternoon sightseeing of Chandigarh, the best-planned city of India, designed by renowned French architect Le Corbuiser. Here visit Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Sukhna Lake,  etc. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11:           Chandigarh - Delhi (approx 5 hrs)
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon leave for Delhi and on arrival transfer to the airport in time to board the flight for onward destination.
